Clash between Sarpanches and SDO in Sohna: CM demands transfer of the officer; pressure to get work done by favored contractors.

A dispute has emerged between the Sarpanches of Gram Panchayats and Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Zahid Hussain of the Panchayati Raj Department in the Sohna block of Gurugram district. The Sarpanches of several villages in the Sohna block have sent a complaint to Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini, demanding the immediate transfer of SDO Zahid Hussain. The Sarpanches have made serious allegations against the officer for unnecessary interference in development works and accusing him of favoring contractors of his choice.
