Charas smuggler sentenced to 10 years in Khandwa: Police seized charas worth ₹18.50 lakh; the court also imposed a fine of ₹1 lakh.

The accused, who was caught with the drug charas at Khandwa railway station, was sentenced to 10 years in prison by the court on Thursday. The court of Second Additional Sessions Judge Anil Chaudhary found the accused, Seemuruddin Sheikh (35), son of Sarfuddin Sheikh, a resident of Indore, guilty under the NDPS Act and sentenced him to 10 years imprisonment along with a fine of one lakh rupees. The prosecution was represented by Additional Assistant Director of Prosecution Ramdas Jamre.
