In Ujjain, during the Shradh Paksha, there is a tradition of offering Tarpan to ancestors and feeding crows after performing the Shraddha rituals. Devotees from all over the country visit major pilgrimage sites like Siddhavat and Ramghat in Ujjain for their Shraddha ceremonies. Due to the low number of crows in the city, many devotees have to search for them. In such a situation, at Triveni Hills on Indore Road, as soon as they hear the voice of a retired teacher, 500 to 1000 crows arrive every evening.
