One Kanha, many emotions: 11 unique colors of birth celebrations in Indore

As the clock struck 12 on Friday night, Rajbada and its surrounding streets echoed with cheers. In some places, little Krishna was being rocked in a cradle, while elsewhere, offerings were being made after Abhishek and Shringar (ritual bathing and adornment). A short distance away, Harinam Sankirtan was underway to the accompaniment of Mridangam and Kartal, while in others, Krishna's divine play was vividly depicted in Janma Janki. It was all about one city and one birth festival... but the spirit of worship was unique at each temple. The 11 major temples in the city showcased the 11 colors of Krishna devotion.
