Mother poured petrol... son lit the match, woman dies: In a case of electricity theft in Mandsaur, they had reached the grid; the minor boy said he set fire and ran away.

A woman who was set on fire near the power grid in Botlaganj, Mandsaur district, died during treatment in Indore on Thursday. The woman has been identified as Mariam (35). Police investigation revealed that Mariam poured petrol on herself, after which her minor son lit a matchstick with it. After setting her on fire, the son fled the scene. Additional SP Ter Singh Baghel stated that the mother and son had brought a bottle of petrol from home.
