A spot fine of ₹2.50 lakh has been imposed on Indore's Hotel Sheraton for violating solid waste management rules. Action has also been taken against 6 other establishments.

The Indore Municipal Corporation is conducting regular inspections and taking action to maintain a robust sanitation system in the city and ensure compliance with solid waste management rules. Spot fines are being levied against institutions and establishments that violate the rules. During an inspection of the sanitation and solid waste management system in Zone 22, Ward 36, and the Bypass area, as per the instructions of Additional Commissioner Prakhar Singh, the Sheraton Hotel was found to be violating solid waste management rules.
