Miscreants posing as fake Crime Branch officers entered a house and extorted money by threatening to take the contractor to the police station; police have arrested two accused.

In Indore, India, a group of miscreants posed as Crime Branch police personnel and entered the house of a contractor, assaulting him. The accused threatened to take him to the police station and implicate him in a case. Fearing for their lives, the contractor gave them 4,000 rupees. Following the complaint, the police have arrested two of the accused, while they are searching for their two absconding accomplices. Azad Nagar TI Lokesh Bhadauria stated that the miscreants entered the house at 3 am by banging on the door.
