NITI Aayog report: Indore has become an EV model city, with 21,000 electric vehicles sold so far this year, and Madhya Pradesh has reached the 7th position in the country.

Madhya Pradesh has been included in the top 10 states for promoting green mobility. NITI Aayog released the Indian Electric Mobility Index-2025 this week, where Madhya Pradesh jumped 16 places to reach 7th position compared to 2024. The state also ranked fourth among the 17 major states. The commission has identified Indore along with Bhopal, Jabalpur, Gwalior and Ujjain as EV Model Cities, which is a good step forward.
