A 21-year-old student has been swept away by the Tapti River in Betul. He had gone to Ghaghra Ghat with friends, and the SDRF has been searching for him since morning.

On Tuesday evening, 21-year-old student Pawan Sonare of Ghoghra Ghat in Bhimpur development block of Betul was swept away by the strong current of the Tapti River. He had come here with four or five friends on two bikes for a walk and to bathe. According to his friends, while bathing, Pawan's foot slipped, and he fell into deep water and then got swept away in the strong current. Since the incident, he has been untraceable. Pawan is a resident of Barhapur village in Bhainsdehi and is the son of Pasram Sonare.
