In the Khajrana police station area of Indore, India, a conman defrauded a woman out of ₹31,000 by threatening her young son with snake bites. He claimed that his son was "undergoing treatment" and would be bitten by snakes, adding that he needed to perform a puja at a dargah to save his life. The accused transferred the money from the victim's daughter-in-law, Firdaus Shah, who resides in Zakaria Colony, after scaring her with the threat of her son's life. Khajrana police have launched an investigation based on the complaint filed by the victim's daughter-in-law, Firdaus Shah, from Zakaria Colony.
