The government will go to court if it doesn't pay pensioners their dues: Finance Minister has asked all departments to take a moratorium, with 32 months and 27 months of pending payments.

Instead of paying the pensioners in Madhya Pradesh arrears for 59 months, the state government is preparing to seek a stay from the court on this matter. In response, the finance department has directed all departments of the state government to obtain a stay through the officer-in-charge or public prosecutor instead of paying the pension revision arrears for 32 months and 27 months separately in cases related to their respective departments.
