Less rainfall in 36 districts of the state: Impact of El Nino... Less than normal rainfall in half of Madhya Pradesh.

Only 9 days are left for the monsoon season to end, but rainfall in Madhya Pradesh has not yet reached its normal level. As of September 21st, the state has recorded 865.8 mm of rainfall, while the normal figure is 922.6 mm. This means that rainfall in the state is 6% less than expected. Out of 55 districts, normal rainfall has not yet been achieved in 36 districts. Among these, there are 11 districts where the deficiency ranges from 16 to 49%. The highest deficit is in Alirajpur at 49%, Narmadapuram at 34%, and Ratlam at 33%.
