Indore will expand by 375 square kilometers: Traffic management challenge while saving the green belt

The draft of Indore's new master plan-2041 has been prepared, which aims to expand the city's boundary by 375 square kilometers over the next 15 years. However, maintaining a green belt and managing increasing traffic with such a large expansion will be a significant challenge. The master plan-2041 proposes to increase the planning area from 505 square kilometers to 880 square kilometers, considering the population of 53 lakhs. This will include 79 new villages, making a total of 169 villages under the plan.
