Before Ganesh Utsav, 5 accused in Khandwa were expelled from the district: they will not be able to come to the district for a year; one was granted bail of ₹1 lakh.

In view of Ganesh Utsav and Anant Chaturdashi, the administration in Khandwa has started cracking down on law and order. Collector and District Magistrate Rishabh Gupta has ordered the deportation of 5 accused. Meanwhile, orders have been issued to take bail of ₹1 lakh from another accused. The deported accused will not be able to come to Khandwa district until the stipulated time. They are also prohibited from entering Burhanpur, Khargone, Dewas, Betul, Harda and Indore district borders.
