In Madhya Pradesh's five major cities, the electricity distribution system will now move from a network of poles to modern underground networks. On the instructions of the Union Ministry of Power, its DPR (Detailed Project Report) will be prepared in 90 days for Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior, and Ujjain. This will include a plan to convert the cities' 11 kV and 400-volt LT overhead lines into underground cable networks. This will not only enhance the city's beauty but also reduce the risk of storms.
