Food department raids 5 major hotels in Indore: Rusty tray and old chopping board found at Marriott, rotten sunflower seeds found at Sheraton.

The Food Safety Administration team conducted a surprise inspection of five prominent hotels in the city to check food safety and hygiene standards. The operation covered a total of five establishments, including four five-star hotels. During the inspection, documents related to food quality, storage, labeling, kitchen cleanliness, medical fitness of food handlers, FIFO/FEFO management, and water testing were reviewed. At Marriott Hotel, cheese and peanuts were found to be contaminated with pesticides.
