CBI Action: CGST officer arrested for taking a monthly bribe of two lakh rupees, 72 lakh rupees recovered from his premises.

Rajesh Kumar Gupta, the superintendent of the Central GST's Preventive Wing, has been arrested by the CBI's Bhopal Anti-Corruption Branch for allegedly taking a bribe of 2 lakh rupees from a scrap dealer. A special court has sent him to two days of CBI remand. Following his arrest, CBI teams raided the accused officer's residential premises in Bhopal and Kanpur. The search, which continued until late at night, yielded a total of 72 lakh 50 thousand rupees from both locations.
