The dragon fruit, a foreign fruit that was previously sold in markets around Indore, is now being cultivated in Tajpur, Ujjain. Primarily native to Mexico and the tropical regions of Central and South America, it is considered a staple fruit. Vishnu Patidar from Tajpur, who saw its cultivation in Raipur, started growing it himself. He earns lakhs of rupees by selling dragon fruits daily in markets around Indore.
