In the Naya Basera area of Gandhi Nagar police station in Indore, India, an 8-year-old boy died on Sunday after drowning in a water-filled pit. He had left his ancestral home to play during school recess. When he did not return by noon, his family began searching for him. His clothes were found near the pit, and upon searching, they discovered the body in the water. Gandhi Nagar police have registered a case and started an investigation. The children stated that they went to bathe in the pit in Gandhi Nagar.
