A 9-foot-tall statue of Safai Mitra made from scrap materials: Waste to Art created in Indore with 700 kg of spare parts; a message conveyed by 3Rs.

The Indore Municipal Corporation has taken a unique initiative to spread the message of cleanliness, waste reuse, and recycling. A 9-foot tall and approximately 700 kg statue of Safai Mitra was created from the scrapped spare parts of mechanized road sweeping machines. The statue was unveiled at an event held at Nehru Park on the occasion of Swachh Bharat Diwas by MLA Mahendra Hardia, MLA Ramesh Mendola, in-charge Mayor Rajendra Rathore, and Municipal Commissioner Kshitij Singhal.
