Heavy rains in MP, river water levels rise, bridges submerged: 9 gates of Bargi opened; water is also being released from Johila and Bilgaon dams.

Due to the torrential rains that have been occurring in Dindori and Umaria for the past three days, the water level of the Narmada River and its tributaries has increased. The bridge at Jogi Tikariya in Dindori is still submerged, which has affected traffic on Jabalpur-Amarkantak National Highway 45 for the last seven hours. Two gates of the Bilgaon Dam located in Shahpura, Dindori are being opened. Meanwhile, two gates of the Johila Dam of the Sanjay Gandhi Thermal Power Plant in Umaria have been opened by two meters each.
