In Bhopal, a lady inspector was murdered, and her lover committed suicide. There is suspicion of a dispute over the marriage; a blood-stained hammer was found at the scene.

The body of RTO Inspector Meenakshi Gokhale (45) has been found in her own house in Bhopal. There are injury marks on the head. A blood-stained hammer was also lying near the body. Meenakshi resided in Lekhpal Colony near Bhawri Joad. She had a three-year-old daughter. Her roommate informed the police around 7 am on Monday morning. According to Khajuri Sadak Police, the roommate stated that Meenakshi's boyfriend, Pawan Kumar Dwivedi, had come to Bhopal from Sidhi two days ago.
