On the first day of Navratri, a large crowd of devotees gathered at the Mata Tekri temple in Dewas, but serious questions were raised about the arrangements for healthcare facilities. When some girls started feeling uneasy, their families took them to a medical camp, where doctors and healthcare workers were not available. Only an ambulance was present at the scene. The families had to make their own arrangements to help the girls. It was reported that by 7:50 am, the medical camp was not equipped with the necessary healthcare facilities.
