A case of cheating has come to light in the Hiranagar area of Indore, where a man was allegedly defrauded by posing as a fake police officer. The elderly man, who had come to Indore from Narmadapuram for his wife's treatment, was lured into talking with two bike-borne miscreants. Citing an investigation into theft, they made him remove the gold ring he was wearing and fled with it. Police suspect that the Motu-Patlu gang, which was previously active in the city, may be involved in this incident. The Hiranagar police stopped the elderly man while he was on his way to a temple.
