At the state Congress office, Congress's national spokesperson Abhay Dubey raised questions about the central government and BJP regarding the lamp-lighting program organized on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday. He stated that the Prime Minister had appealed to the countrymen on May 11, 2026, to reduce their consumption of edible oil in order to lower the cost of importing it. Despite this, lamps were lit with edible oil on a large scale on his birthday.
