Diwali celebrations in Madhya Pradesh on Modi's birthday...: 2.5 million lamps will be lit along the banks of the Shipra River in Ujjain, and Indore's Rajbada (royal palace) will be illuminated with two and a half lakh lamps.

On September 17th, the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a large-scale Deepotsav will be held in Madhya Pradesh. Under the Seva-Sankalp Abhiyan, lamps will be lit simultaneously across the state at 7 pm. The largest event will take place in Ujjain, where preparations are underway to light over 2.5 million lamps on the ghats of Mahakal Mahadev and the Shipra River. BJP National President Nitin Navin and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will attend the program in Ujjain.
