Madhya Pradesh has received 351 government buses, with Gadkari giving the green light to 180 electric buses. These buses will operate in 7 cities, including Bhopal and Indore.

Government buses will be running on the roads in Madhya Pradesh again after 21 years. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav launched the Mukhyamantri Sugam Parivahan Seva (Chief Minister's Accessible Transport Service) from BHEL Dussehra Ground in Bhopal. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari flagged off 351 buses shortly after, including intercity and intracity buses for 7 cities, including Bhopal and Indore. The MP State Transport Corporation buses were discontinued in 2005. The aim of the new service is to connect villages with cities as well.
