Private hospitals in Madhya Pradesh will indefinitely boycott the Ayushman scheme starting October 8th. This means patients will not be treated under the Ayushman scheme here. They also demanded that the requirement of an NBHS (National Health Board) certificate be removed immediately. The government has decided that eligibility for treatment at a hospital will only be based on receiving an NBHS certificate. Most hospitals in Bhopal owe an average of 15 to 20 million rupees under the Ayushman scheme.
