The lack of rainfall in the city so far has caused concern for the administration. According to data from the Meteorological Department, the city has received 23 inches of rain so far, which is approximately 12 inches less than normal. If this situation of low rainfall persists, it will affect the groundwater level. In such a scenario, efforts are underway to create a system for monitoring groundwater extraction. Currently, there are around 100,000 borewells in the city, including 7,000 government-owned ones. The question is how much water can be extracted from the ground using these wells?
