A dispute over money for alcohol led to the murder of a porter while he was sleeping. A companion struck him on the head with an axe; the accused was caught in his blood-stained clothes.

In Indore, India, a 50-year-old man named Swarndeep alias Goldy was found dead on the sidewalk in Transport Nagar, under the Bhawankuan police station area, with his body covered in blood around 6 am on Thursday. There were severe injury marks on his head. According to the police, Goldy was murdered by being struck on the head. After the incident, his accomplice Bunty went absconding, and the police launched a search for him. Police also mentioned that he used to work as a porter along with Hammali in Transport Nagar.
