Teachers from across the state gathered in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, on Sunday to protest against the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) and demand the implementation of old pensions. They are staging a sit-in at Ambedkar Park, located on Link Road No. 2. They stated that they will not take the TET exam under any circumstances and that the government should implement old pensions. They questioned why they shouldn't receive the same benefits as MPs and MLAs when they are already receiving their pensions. The protest was organized by the Teacher Struggle Committee and the Seniority Restoration Forum, who were participating in this demonstration.
