Kanpur: A fraud of ₹1.25 lakh in the name of providing a colony under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana has been reported.

In Kanpur, five people, including a woman, were cheated of 1.25 lakh rupees through a scam involving the allocation of colonies under the Prime Minister's Housing Scheme.
