Kanpur: The 125-year-old Ramganga canal bridge is in disrepair, with plaster peeling off and cracks appearing in the walls, potentially leading to an accident at any time.

In Kanpur, the arch bridge over the Ramganga canal on the Sadha-Amaur road in Bhitargaon block collapsed on Wednesday evening due to administrative negligence and the movement of overloaded vehicles. It was constructed in 1901 with bricks and stones.
