Kanpur: A retired Air Force officer was defrauded of ₹13.77 lakh by a PNB employee who posed as a fraudster and contacted him on WhatsApp.

Kamalakant Dwivedi, an 89-year-old retired Air Force Group Captain and resident of Tilaknagar, Kanpur, was defrauded out of ₹13.77 lakh by a cyber fraudster posing as an employee of Punjab National Bank. He was allegedly lured with the promise of getting a pension card made.
