Kanpur: Priya took her life after one and a quarter years of marriage; her husband and in-laws were sentenced to seven years each in prison, along with a fine of 20,000 rupees each.

In Kanpur, Sanjay, his wife Priya's husband who murdered her just after a year and a quarter of marriage for dowry, along with his mother-in-law Gomti and father-in-law Rampal, were sentenced to seven years in prison each by Judge Rakesh Singh of Fast Track Court 41. A fine of ₹20,000 was also imposed.
