Kanpur: A maternal aunt had her minor niece married to her brother, leading to a report being filed under the Child Marriage Act.

A 17-year-old girl, who was sent to a state-run child protection home for the care of her maternal uncle and aunt, was married off by her aunt to her brother on May 10, 2026.
