Kanpur: A legislator created an uproar at a police outpost over allegations of being beaten up. The ACP stated that the accusations were baseless.

A young man who was brought to Sirki Mohal police station in Kanpur for questioning on theft charges has accused the police of beating him. SP MLA Amitabh Bajpai staged a sit-in protest at the police station demanding action and medical treatment.
