Kanpur: A furniture artisan, disheartened by his severe TB illness, hanged himself and died. Police are investigating the matter.

In Kanpur, Akash Yadav (37), who had been battling tuberculosis for five years, committed suicide by hanging himself late Thursday night at the Rajkiya Unnayan Awas Colony located on GT Road in the Nawabganj police station area. According to his younger brother, Vikrant, Akash had become quite weak due to the illness.
