The Lucknow High Court reprimanded the State Bank of India for withdrawing ₹19.90 lakh from a wife's fixed deposit to recover her husband's loan. The court ordered the bank to return the full amount with interest and pay ₹1 lakh in compensation. The wife was not a party to the loan.
