The child was admitted to 10th grade on a court order: She was told she was weak in her studies and asked to be removed from school or repeat 9th grade. Parents filed a petition in court.
The Narayana School management, located on the Jalandhar bypass in Ludhiana, was finally forced to re-admit a student to the 10th class due to a court order. The school management had initially asked for the girl to be removed from the school or repeated in the 9th grade, citing her weakness in studies in the 10th class. However, when the parents refused, the school management did not allow the girl to sit in the 10th class. Following this, the girl's father, Balkar Singh, approached the court.
