The government procurement of paddy in Punjab began on Thursday. On the first day, a total of 39,342.75 metric tons of paddy were recorded for arrival in grain markets across 13 districts. Out of this, a total of 15,030.45 metric tons of crop procurement has been completed. Government agencies procured 10,387.45 metric tons of paddy, while private traders purchased 4,643.00 metric tons.
