The Ludhiana jails have a drug supply network: 170 grams of heroin were found in the Central Jail, and 30 intoxicating capsules were found in the hostel; 2 PESCO employees were charged.

A drug supply network has been exposed in Ludhiana's Central and Brostal jails. During a single-day check at both jails, two large seizures of narcotics were discovered. In the Central Jail, 170 grams of heroin and other drugs were found, while in the Brostal Jail, 30 red-colored drug capsules were recovered from a prisoner. Both cases revealed a nexus within the jail to deliver drugs and accusations have also been leveled against PESCO employees.
