A case has been registered for illegally removing soil from an area of 30,000 square feet.

Ludhiana| A major case of illegal mining has come to light in village Miyani, which falls under the jurisdiction of Koom Kalan police station. During a checking by the Mining Department, large-scale illegal excavation was caught on spot, after which the police have registered a case and initiated action. In a complaint sent to the police, Akhil Galhotra (JE-cum-Assistant District Mining Officer, Phillaur Dam Sub-Division, Ludhiana) stated that he had found mining in village Miyani.
