A round of ₹35,000 was stolen from a Ganpati pandal. The thief was caught on CCTV, people apprehended him, paraded him around, and also recovered the chit ticket from the accused.

A case has come to light in the Field Ganj area of Ludhiana, where a round of bullets worth approximately ₹30,000-₹35,000 was stolen from a Ganpati installation site. The thief used the stolen money to buy a chit ticket, which people recovered at the scene. Now, a major question is also on the local police's mind: under whose patronage are these chit tickets being openly sold in the area? Based on the complaint, the Division Number 2 police have registered a case against the accused, Vikas, a resident of Islam Ganj, under Section 303(2) of the BNS Act.
