Fraud of 4 million in the name of sending to America: The youth was first taken around Cambodia, then to several countries. He stayed in a refugee camp for 10 months and returned after being deported.

A case of fraud has come to light in Ludhiana where a young man was allegedly cheated out of ₹40 lakh under the pretext of sending him to America. Gurdeep Singh, a resident of Sukhdev Nagar in Jamalpur, filed a complaint with the police alleging that an agent took lakhs of rupees from him on the promise of sending him to America. He was then taken to various countries, including Cambodia. After reaching America, he stayed at a refugee camp in Texas for about 10 months, but was finally deported on June 25, 2025.
