With the aim of providing employment skills along with school education and enabling students to join jobs or self-employment as soon as they complete their studies, the Education Department has released a budget of Rs 5.37 crore to strengthen vocational education in PM Sri schools. The grant will benefit 721 NSQF labs in 355 PM Sri schools across 23 districts of Punjab. This includes Rs 37.87 lakh for 51 NSQF labs in Ludhiana.
