A police constable won a lottery worth 7 crores: The winner said he had come to the city for some work and bought the ticket despite his father's refusal.

Punjab Police Constable Gurpreet Singh (28) had his luck changed when his Rakhi bumper lottery ticket won the first prize of ₹7 crore. Gurpreet was recruited as a constable in Punjab Police in 2022 and is currently deployed on emergency duty at 112. Gurpreet said that he went to the market with his father on August 24th. During this time, he bought a Rakhi bumper ticket for ₹500. His father forbade him from buying the ticket.
