In Jalandhar, the sudden change in weather on Saturday afternoon brought heavy rainfall, providing significant relief to people from the humid heat. However, this rain exposed the claims of the Municipal Corporation and Smart City by causing waterlogging on major roads of the city, including the Ekchari Bridge. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert for heavy rain and lightning in several districts of Punjab, including Pathankot and Gurdaspur, as well as Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi from September 13 to 15.
