Following the Chandigarh accident, the railway has formed an investigation team: the door of a freight train fell on a car, and a young woman sustained a head injury.

The Northern Railway has launched an investigation into the incident where a door of a moving freight train wagon broke off and fell on a car passing below the Hallomajra railway overbridge in Chandigarh. A four-member team will investigate the cause of the accident and determine the circumstances under which the door broke off. The four-member investigation team inspected the scene on Monday. Preeti, a resident of Sector-35, who was in the car, suffered a head injury in the accident and has been hospitalized.
