Two units at the government thermal plant in Ropar have been shut down since Tuesday afternoon, which has affected electricity production and led to people facing unscheduled power cuts in many areas. Meanwhile, supply lines are not functioning properly in markets, causing sparking in wires daily and leading to prolonged power outages. Ludhiana
